U-ACT works in cooperation with both local and international organizations including government departments, trade and industry associations, national trade promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, industry associations and management institutes to strengthen private sector’s role in economic governance and policy making process.

Through established linkages with industry and the academe, U-ACT provides the policy and operational support to bring forth measures that will enhance the competitiveness of local production networks (sectors and industries) resulting to economic reforms that will enable global market access of Philippines’ goods and services.

Furthermore, U-ACT provides the structure to develop information and monitoring systems for trade negotiations, and capacity-building for trade negotiations, making private sector a better-informed group and take advantage of opportunities from trade liberalization.
